Listing of the Day
Location: Upper East Side, Manhattan
Price: $16.95 million
“It feels like a house in Connecticut but with a doorman and you’re in New York City,” said listing agent Alexa Lambert, of Compass. “It feels just like a center-hall Colonial.”
To blend in with the many classic and pre-war buildings in the neighborhood, the facade of the 16-story, 25-unit building between Lexington and Third avenues features handset Indiana limestone, patterned brick and ornamental metalwork. The interiors are by designer Robert Couturier.
“More than any other building in New York, people have said to me that it looks like it’s always been there, in the best sense,” Ms. Lambert said. “It’s so elegant, yet understated.”

It has the amenities of a much larger building, she added. “We have a squash court, a golf simulator and a roof deck with amazing views of Lower Manhattan.”
The building was completed in 2021, and closings started in March, Ms. Lambert said.
“This apartment in particular I love because of the kitchen,” which was designed by Mr. Couturier in collaboration with cabinetry designer Christopher Peacock, she said. It features a large island and a “wonderful big window with open city views.”
The kitchen also offers Statuarietto stone countertops, a Lacanche gas range, Miele ovens, Sub-Zero refrigeration and pocket doors that allow it to be closed off
